I am an early forties, travel addict, living in Belgium. Who loves preparing every trip into perfection, because I want to get the most out of every journey !

When the moment finally comes, which often catches me by surprise...when I am merely minutes from take-off. There's also the looming question, " Will this trip live up to my expectations? "

Social Media channels like Pinterest, Facebook, etc ... are ruining our perception of reality too often. I am sure you added a few destinations to your bucket list when you visited Facebook pages like "Fantastic things in the world". How could you not ... those bright colours trigger everyone's imagination !

So once I set foot on land, the battle photoshop versus reality is on. And that's the moment my sense of reality takes over again, without losing an open mind, making the days count…Those are the moments grafted in my heart, the stories I love to share on my travel blog, stories coloured black, white and every shade in between. The stories that remove doubts and help you to decide "should I skip this excursion or that one", is that highly promoted restaurant really worth the visit or is it seriously overrated, is the hospitality of that B&B as warm and friendly as I hope for, etc …

My vision, taste and interest is off course personal and subjective. But I do hope and trust, half of the readers are thankful and happy, with the tips they have read on my blog, before they set foot on land.
